Don Bradshaw has served the Army since 1980, receiving his commission as an Infantry Officer from Virginia Military Institute. He has served in troop, instructor and staff assignments on active duty until 1991 at Fort Hood, Fort Benning and U.S. Army Europe, and continued as a Reserve Officer in various assignments in Germany and in the IRR until 2011. He began his Army civilian service in 1992 as a Training Support Specialist in Friedberg, Germany and was later selected as Director, 104th Area Support Group S2/3 (Operations and Security) in Hanau, Germany until his assignment to Fort Lee, Virginia in 1996 as the Operations Officer for the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS). While at Fort Lee, he served as Deputy Director, DPTMS and later as the Director, DPTMS. In May 2006, he assumed the additional duty of Director of Emergency Services (DES) until his selection to attend the U.S. Army War College in 2011.
